1. This game is for more than a National Championship

This is a rare National Championship Game that is so much more than just a title. With an all-SEC final set, this is about for conference supremacy for the future. Alabama has ruled the college football landscape for a while now and Georgia is looking to take it from them.

They made the first move by taking the SEC Championship this year and the next would be winning the National Championship. This is also huge when it comes to recruiting as well going forward.

Alabama is going to have their first year where they don’t finish with the top ranked class and it looks as if Georgia is going to be the team that does. Smart has put together a ridiculous class filled with five-start talent.

That’s something that Saban has been able to do every year as well. This is one of those battles, where a win is going to mean a title and a chance to be the top dog in the conference for the future.

If Alabama wins, it’s status quo and will have a familiar feel to it. If the Bulldogs win, then it’s a new face leading the pack and the Crimson Tide have to enter a bit of an unfamiliar territory in their own conference.
