Through the first 12 days of NBA All-Star voting, the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo leads all players in total votes.

The Greek Freak is certainly a fan favorite, and that has shown with the release of the NBA All-Star Game voting results. Giannis Antetokounmpo leads all players in votes, even above LeBron James, who was the leading vote-getter last year. In fact, the Greek Freak finished second behind James in last year’s vote, but his popularity seems to be picking up steam with each passing game.

Antetokounmpo is having an unbelievable season, and the most amazing thing is he just turned 23 years old. He has led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 20-16 record in 2017-18, which is second behind only the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Central Division. Overall, the Bucks current rank fifth in the Eastern Conference, as the band of young players has really turned around the culture in Milwaukee.

For the year, Antetokounmpo is currently averaging 29.1 points per game, which is second in the NBA behind James Harden of the Houston Rockets. He is also averaging 10.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks, making him one of the more complete players in the game today. At 6’11, 220 pounds, Antetokounmpo is one of the more dominant presences in the NBA, and it seems like he is getting better with each passing game.

Since coming into the league, and becoming a full-time starter in year two, Antetokounmpo has become a very durable player. In addition to putting up incredible numbers, the Greek Freak is also one of the more electrifying players around, bringing even opposing arenas to their feet. He is going to be a star in this league for years to come, and the Bucks could actually become a contender if they can put some more talent around him.
