I AM BACK FOR THE THIRD EDITION OF FANTASY BASKETBALL TAKE 5! Once again, Free Agent Market needs to be discussed. There are players that you need you or you need them. Let’s debate, discuss and argue!

First things first, I know it’s been awhile, and I apologize. However, there are a lot of topics to cover in the upcoming weeks in Fantasy Basketball like MVPs, disappointments, surprises and overachiever. There are a lot of players doing work. But, there are players that you need pick up within the coming weeks on the Free Agent Market or make trades. Let’s talk about the Free Agents that need some love.

First, I want to apologize from my previous article, about the injured players I told you to pick up. They were mostly busts, there few diamonds, which stinks. The gems are Nikola Mirotic and Nicolas Batum. The busts, are actually three. Let me explain the others, the three busts are JaMychal Green, Milos Teodosic and Tony Parker. Under achieving by far is Teodosic and Parker. Parker is kind of not a surprise, but Green is a surprise. Green a starter and not producing at all. Teodosic may have re-aggravated his foot injury that kept him out, so is probably a drop at this point.

The “inbetweeners” of gems and busts are Rajon Rondo, Greg Monroe, Seth Curry and David Nwaba. Rondo started off hot and slowed down and picking it back up, so he’s on the rise right now. Monroe the situation he’s in, is not his fault, he can’t control not starting so not fair to him, he’s in purgatory until he’s traded. Curry in purgatory as well with Monroe, has yet to return from his injury this season. Nwaba hasn’t fallen off had a slight rise, due to Mirotic being HOT right now.

With that being said, there are still others to be considered and may or may not be on your Free Agent list, but most are or at least should be. It’s your decision ultimately, but at least worth considering.

Markelle Fultz

Good free agent add here, if you have room on IR then may want to add him. He’s going to get a lot of run. It’s a hit or miss. Going to be hard when Simmons, Embiid, Reddick and Covington get the most touches, but if he takes over the point, expect change and numbers to increase. I think there he can figure out how to get involved in this offense. We’ll see how it plays out, but he is worth the add or look.

Reggie Jackson

He has been dropped a lot in a bunch of my leagues. Which is why I can’t wait until I have a free IR spot, since it’s being reserved for LaVine to add Jackson (whom by the way, I traded for LaVine). So,

it’s a full circle. Jackson when he has time off, due to injury or rest he comes back and puts up monster numbers every time, then goes back to steady Jackson. He’s a guaranteed starter and better than most point guards out there. So, if you have a free IR may want to add him or add him when he’s on the verge of return.

Brook Lopez

Brook is back, but man what a down year for him. Since Pau Gasol has left, no Lakers center has been really dominant and Lopez can be added to that list. We are just sitting a waiting, he’s an alright option right now, basically a risk at the moment with kind of low reward. I don’t expect him to get any better until he goes to another team. I think he would be a better fit for the Bucks, but hey that’s just my opinion. Maybe a playoff run or team would inspire him and they’re one of them.

Dewayne Dedmon

Not interested in Lopez? Me neither, why I can’t wait for this guy Dedmon to get healthy. I would add Dedmon and Jackson today, if I had the availability too. Dedmon is a lot better than Lopez this season and has the under the radar capability of putting up those big numbers. He’s the guaranteed starting center for the Hawks and has shown he’s the real deal. He will be a re-add for me when healthy or IR spot available for me.

George Hill & De’Aaron Fox

It’s one or the other with these two. I have a feeling they will interchange back and forth as the season goes on. Drop one, add the other, they are both inconsistent. But, consistent when the other isn’t consistent. Does this make sense? It’s the story of the Kings. Hield is a big letdown. Randolph is killing it and not showing veteran rust. And Stein is coming on! Hill and Fox need to get aboard and start being consistent daily! They are not worth the add, but as soon as they get hot add then drop for the other.
