The 2018 NFL Draft is going to be loaded with quarterback talent, especially now that Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen have decided to make themselves eligible.

When it comes to the quarterback position in the NFL, there are plenty of teams who could use some help heading into next season. Next April, the 2018 NFL Draft will be full of quality collegiate quarterbacks, and the first round is certain to be littered with them. Two of the biggest names at the position in college football declared themselves eligible for the draft this week, and now it is time for teams to start jockeying for position to grab them.

Sam Darnold has been a star since grabbing the starting job at USC last season and is regarded as one of the best prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft class. While there had been speculation as to whether or not he would declare himself eligible, he put that to rest this week, and he is certain to be a hot commodity. Darnold has the arm to make all the throws at the next level, and while he has been a bit turnover-prone at USC, he is going to be a good one in the NFL.

Like Darnold, another Pac-12 quarterback made himself available this week, as UCLA’s Josh Rosen will head to the NFL. Many believe he is the overall best quarterback prospect in the draft class, based on his ability to see the field and his arm strength. Like Darnold, some believed he would stay in school one more year, but the time has come for him to head to the next level, and he may just be the top overall pick in the draft next April.

In other NFL news, the Carolina Panthers could be staying in Charlotte, as Nascar CEO and Chairman Brian France is looking to buy the team. The Panthers current owner, Jerry Richardson, has been accused of sexual harassment and plans to sell the team at the end of the year. The buying time could not be better as the Panthers are back to being one of the top teams in the NFL and whoever buys the team may have to build a new stadium as well.

The Tennessee Titans have a tough road ahead of them this weekend, as they travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. The Titans backed their way into the playoffs, and will now have to beat the Chiefs at home without running back DeMarco Murray. Murray was ruled out of the game on Thursday with a knee injury, so it looks like second-year back Derrick Henry will shoulder the load against Kansas City in the AFC Wild Card round.
