High Value SF
Ersan Ilysova, ATL at LAC ($5,900): Ilyasova continues to be a reliable play in recent weeks. He’s been at value or better in seven of his last eight. In five of those games, he’s been 10+ fantasy points over value. The Hawks are on a back-to-back, but Ilyasova has been strong in back-to-back games all season, going 16+ fantasy points over value in two of five games. With no Blake Griffin, Ilyasova should have an easier time collecting rebounds and getting looks on the perimeter. ****
Trey Lyles, DEN at GS ($5,700): Lyles has missed value just twice since the start of December. His salary keeps climbing, but it’s not high enough to deter me from shying away from him. He’s a big time scorer and rebounder who helps his value with his ability to knockdown threes. He had 26 fantasy points against the Warriors on Dec. 23. That number would put him over value once again on Monday. Until Lyles shows signs of falling off, keeping adding him. ****
Caris LeVert, BKN vs TOR ($5,200): LeVert is listed as probable, so I’m going to assume that he’ll play. He was a complete dud the last time these two teams met, posting a season low 6.5 fantasy points on Dec. 15. He drew the start in that game, which led to him bottoming out. He’s much better coming off the bench as the second unit scorer and playmaker. He’s hit value in 75 percent of games where he comes off the bench this season. ****
