The Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs face off in the college football National Championship Game on Monday, but what time does the game start?
At long last, the college football season has reached its conclusion. On Monday, Jan. 8, the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide will fly their SEC colors to Atlanta. Once there and inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, they will go head-to-head for the College Football Playoff National Championship. And, oh man, does this promise to be a doozie.
For starters, the National Championship Game will feature two of the premier defenses in the country, though in different forms. Where as Bama can overwhelm teams with both speed and power, the Georgia defense moves like lightning around the field. What will be interesting, though, is how these defensive units contend with the likes of Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough for the Tide and Nick Chubb and Sony Michel for UGA.
Meanwhile, this game could come down to quarterbacks. The Dawgs are starting freshman Jake Fromm, who has been phenomenal this season. Still, with no experience at this level, you have to believe he’s prone to mistakes. As for Jalen Hurts, he’s been fine again, but still has his shortcomings that Georgia will look to exploit to win a National Championship.
With all of this drama on the line, you’ll surely not want to miss a moment on Monday night. So then, what time does the college football National Championship Game start?
The coverage kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET with kickoff coming soon after. Make sure you’re in front of your television as you won’t want to miss a moment.
