On Monday night, the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game will take place. Alabama and Georgia will go head-to-head. A look at how to watch it online.
After a long college football season, the National Championship Game will culminate it all. It takes place on Monday, Jan. 8, with two SEC teams set to battle. This will be Alabama and Georgia, as they won their respective semifinal games to enter the finale.
For Georgia, this will essentially be a home game. It’s at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA, so expect Bulldog fans to pour in and support their team. That doesn’t mean Alabama fans won’t show up but expect plenty of orange and black attire in the stands.
To reach this game, Kirby Smart’s team had to come back, take Oklahoma to double overtime and win. It wasn’t easy, especially against one of the best offenses in college football, but Georgia managed to battle and advance to Atlanta.
As for Alabama, it faced criticism before the College Football Playoff even started. Despite not making the SEC Championship Game, the College Football Playoff Committee placed them at No. 4, with the nod over Ohio State.
To follow this, the Crimson Tide topped No. 1 Clemson, 24-6, to reach the title game. It was a one-sided matchup, which proved Nick Saban’s squad can top one of college football’s elite teams.
