1. Tua Tagovailoa is the future and Alabama remains on top for now

This National Championship Game was about so much more than just a National Championship. While it was the biggest prize on the line, the fact that it was an all-SEC final carried a lot more in weight.

With Georgia trying to be the future and Alabama being the present, this game said a lot about where college football is headed and the SEC. With Tua Tagovailoa at the helm, the Tide remain in position to hold their spot for a while.

The Bulldogs are certainly going to be there to be the top team to challenge them. If early National Signing Day is any indication, Georgia is loading up to take siege of the conference and ultimately bring a title to their program.

However, it’s hard to watch the performance that Tagovailoa put on and not feel that he’s going to lead his team back to where they want to be. The incredible smarts that he showed after taking a bad sack said it all.

He used his eyes to move the safety ever so slightly so that he could find DeVonta Smith for the winning score in overtime. With plays like that, the Crimson Tide keep their spot atop the mountain for now and the future.
