LaVar Ball claims all three of his sons will be on the Lakers in a few years, but to get there, they might need to spend some extra time after practice shooting threes.

Ballers continues to fascinate people. The latest twist involves LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball, who are now professional teammates instead of playing college hoops.

They’re not playing in the U.S., of course, but for Prienai Vytautas in Lithuania. And their pro debut, such as it was, came not even in a European league per se, but rather in the basketball equivalent of a soccer friendly in the unsurprisingly named Big Baller Brand Challenge.

Still, a debut is a debut, and the younger Ball brothers recorded their first stats as pros.

Neither Ball looked comfortable from deep, and LaMelo may have made an understatement when he told ESPN, “My shooting was off, but we won. That was the main thing.” However, each of them showed some flashes, with LeMelo dishing out several no-look assists to teammates.

The question now is how they will perform against tougher competition. Prienai Vytautas has its first actual league game on Saturday, on the road against Lietkabelis, and LiAngelo and LaMelo aren’t expected to play nearly as much in a game that counts.

If they don’t, expect to hear plenty about it from LaVar Ball. But then again, Prienai Vytautas knew what it was getting into when it started out on this particularly unique basketball journey, and there’s no turning back now.
