The Bucks dropped their game Monday, in a rematch of first-round playoff opponents from last year, against the Toronto Raptors. Their defense let them down in the game, as they saw DeMar DeRozan score a Raptors franchise-best 52 points in the 131-127 overtime loss. Monday was a big day for Jabari Parker, who was assigned to the Wisconsin Herd as he continues to recover from a knee injury he suffered last season. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team to a dominating win over the Indiana Pacers, with 31 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bucks started both of the halves well, and the complete performance on both ends of the court meant they were able to get rest for the remainder of their games for the week. They lost their second game this week against the Raptors, overcommitting to stopping DeRozan on offense at the expense of leaving the Raptors bigs open after their rotations. Giannis had 24, but they were outscored by 24 in the third quarter and the game turned into a blowout. Matthew Dellavedova clotheslined Bradley Beal, but his teammates rallied for a 110-103 victory over the Wizards in their final game of the week.
