Terrell Davis believes John Elway will make Broncos great again
By Mark Carman
Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis dished out his thoughts on John Elway, Paxton Lynch, the NFL playoffs and Georgia falling short versus Alabama.
Don’t blame the Denver Broncos missing the playoffs on head coach Vance Joseph and give him a second chance. Those were the sentiments of Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis.
“Vance is the right guy. You have to give him at least a second year,” Davis said. “He didn’t have a quarterback. I know Vance very well and I certainly believe he is the right guy.”
Davis also believes that President John Elway is the “right guy” to improve the roster.
“Is there any doubt about? Of course he is,” Davis reasoned. “This is crazy. The man just won you a Super Bowl two years ago, he has taken a team to a Super Bowl four years ago. There are going to be down years. Is he struggling to find a quarterback? Absolutely. Do I think he will get it turned around? Yes, because he his aggressive.”
Meanwhile, these are rough times for Georgia fans, Terrell Davis included. TD was still feeling the championship-loss pain.
“You had one team who knew they could win, and one team that hoped they could win,” Davis opined. “You could sense Georgia was playing not to lose. They stopped being aggressive. The play calling became conservative. They lost their momentum in the 4th quarter. It was heart breaking. I was on the sideline and I was sick.”
