Antonio Brown is an alien who was sent to our planet to do cool football things in the most important moments of the season.
If you expected the Pittsburgh Steelers to have their backs against the ropes the entire game against Jacksonville on Sunday, you probably live in Duvall. No one expected the Steelers to be clawing their way back in the Divisional Round but that’s what most of the afternoon entailed.
Jacksonville’s secondary is perhaps the best in all of football, but it still couldn’t account for Antonio Brown. Not since Randy Moss have we seen a wide receiver be able to change the tide of a game the way Brown can, and he did a few times on Sunday.
Brown not only made an incredible touchdown catch, but he did so while being held the entire way by A.J. Bouye. It was Bouye who complained after the play, despite the fact that he yanked Brown away from the pass — to no avail.
That’s just not human. There’s simply no stopping Brown, no matter what you do.
Unfortunately, the no one else on the Steelers decided to do anything of merit against Jacksonville. Brown can only do so much and he did all he could, despite being against one of the most vaunted secondaries in the NFL.
