Currently in second place in the Premier League table, Manchester United are 15 points behind Manchester City. With the amount of talent on their roster, the gap between United and the top of the table is an unwelcome surprise. What’s not surprising is how Jose Mourinho is dominating the headlines by taking shots at Manchester City and his former club, Chelsea. With Mourinho’s penchant for running his mouth, sometimes his teams can get fed up. Hopefully that is not the case with United. Regardless, they are a talented team and should be able to handle relegation fodder like Stoke without too much of a problem.

Stoke sacked manager Mark Hughes after losing to Coventry in the FA Cup. Stoke currently hold the last relegation spot, sitting in 18th place with only 20 points. Changes are needed to save Stoke’s season, and perhaps changing the manager was the key. What better way to start with a new manager than facing the second best team in the league? Maybe caretaker manager Eddie Niedzwiecki can expose a weakness in United and come away with a positive result on the road.
