
The Pistons had another disappointing loss on the road, playing poorly on defense against the Pelicans, losing 112-109. Andre Drummond had 16 points and 14 rebounds in a battle with the Pelicans bigs, and the Pistons were down by two points with 39 seconds after Drummond finished a nice alley-oop, but they couldnāt score on their final possessions and they left the Crescent City with a loss.
They righted the ship with a trip to Brooklyn, defeating the Nets 114-80, with Drummond grabbing 20 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass, while dropping in 22 points. The Pistons had 58 points in the paint, and were able to empty their bench for the final minutes of the game. Their guards got top marks for this game on defense, limiting Spencer Dinwiddie to two points on five field goal attempts. The Pistons dropped their final game of the week to the Bulls, who welcomed Zach LaVine to the court for the first time. Avery Bradley had 26 points in one of his better games of the season, but they couldnāt quite get over the hump in the fourth quarter and Kris Dunn blocked Reggie Bullockās layup attempt as time expired.
