
Julius Randle and Lonzo Ball both had a double-double in the Lakers game Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings, with Randle getting 22 points and 14 rebounds while Ball had 11 rebounds, 11 assists and five points. The Lakers jumped out to a 26-8 lead in the first quarter, but the Kings were able to chip their way back to go into halftime down by one point. The second half followed the pattern of the first, but the Kings werenāt able to mount a rally and lost by 13, 99-86.
The team took advantage of a poor shooting performance by the San Antonio Spurs, who had just a 49 true shooting percentage, in a 93-81 win for the guys in purple and gold. Lonzo found his shot tonight, with 18 points on 11 field goal attempts to go with 10 rebounds and six assists. After an off game against the Spurs, Randle responded with a huge evening against the Mavericks in his hometown of Dallas, with 23 points and 15 rebounds forming the foundation that lead to his clutch basket in overtime to help secure the victory. The Lakers were able to rally from a double-digit deficit to force the extra period, and then Randle scored six points in overtime.
