Super Bowl LII could be just as memorable for lucky Verizon customers as Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII were for Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis.

Terrell Davis made his mark on the NFL in the late 1990s, helping the Denver Broncos win back-to-back Super Bowls in 1998 and 1999. Now nearly two decades years after he last played in the game, Davis wants Verizon customers to know they can have a similar experience to that which he first enjoyed on Jan. 25, 1998.

“As a player what you try to do is minimize in your mind that it’s a huge stage,” Davis said. “There’s so much around the game that it’s difficult. You rarely get into a city the week before the game. You can’t help but to notice the media coverage. You can’t help but to notice all the parties and events they have going on around the Super Bowl. At the same time you realize that we are here to play a game. We are here to win this game. That’s the toughest part about it. You’re breaking from routine but you’re trying to maintain a routine. It’s the most difficult thing that’s asked of a player during that week. My first one was in my home town of San Diego so it was an added amount of distraction on top of my plate but I just constantly reminded myself and my family and friends that I am here to play a game.”

On the heels of the expansion of Verizon’s streaming media partnership with the NFL, Verizon has announced a new prize package exclusively for its customers.

On Tuesday, Jan. 16, Verizon customers can redeem their reward points on the MyVerizon app for a chance to attend Super Bowl LII in VIP fashion. Contest winners will receive tickets to the game, see concerts up close, meet NFL players and attend exclusive events. Verizon customers who aren’t selected today will have another chance on Monday, Jan. 22.

In short, contest winners will get an experience at the Super Bowl similar to what Davis has experienced during Super Bowl week since he retired from the NFL.

“Expect an experience that you can’t find anywhere else,” Davis commented. “It’s really the access that you get. A lot of times when you go to a Super Bowl city you can see the action from afar and different perspectives there. Verizon allows you access to backstage passes and an experience that you normally wouldn’t get. It’s first class in how they do it and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Although Davis’ Super Bowl picks of New Orleans and Pittsburgh didn’t pan out, he will still be attending the game in VIP fashion. Thanks to Verizon, others will get to share that experience.
