86. . G. Arizona. Rawle Alkins. 22. player

Alkins is a quintessential Tom Thibodeau player, now that I consider it.

Fewer elite talents play as flexible and valuable a role for a championship contender than Alkins for Arizona. He is like a better version of Bruce Brown’s archetype at Miami, with athleticism and passing just below that of Brown. However, Alkins has become a sniper from distance and his team is better.

The Arizona sophomore is shooting 35 percent from deep this year, landing him at 36 percent for his career. He has also bumped his usage up to 24.3 percent despite the presence of great college scorers Allonzo Trier and Deandre Ayton. Altogether, Alkins is scoring 14 points per game for a 14-4 team that is one of the best in the country.

Minnesota’s roster almost literally has no wings thanks to decisions made by Thibodeau as an executive. There is no depth behind Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins. Alkins could come in and fill either backup wing position and play hard for Thibs.
