High Salary PG

Kyrie Irving, BOS vs PHI ($8,300): Irving is listed as questionable with a sore left shoulder. Obviously, check his status before making any decisions. Irving had 37 fantasy points a week ago against the Sixers in London. That number would put him slightly under value on Thursday. Assuming he plays, I like him to be around value. His overall numbers are solid this season, but he’s been at value in just 56 percent of games and has not had those scoring explosions that many thought he would have when traded away from LeBron James. ***

Chris Paul, HOU vs MIN ($9,500): The Rockets could get James Harden back on Thursday, which could cut into Paul’s value, but likely won’t on Thursday. With Gerald Green and Trevor Ariza suspended, the Rockets are going to lose a bit of their scoring punch. Paul and Harden will get those opportunities, whether they come from scoring or passing. The Timberwolves are sixth against the position in their last 15 games. Paul should be over 40 fantasy points with Harden back. Without Harden, there’s a chance he misses value given the limited weapons. ***

Damian Lillard, POR vs IND ($8,700): The Pacers are first against the position in their last 15 games. Lillard is coming off a 51.25 fantasy point performance against the Suns, but that’s the Suns. He had been over value in four straight, so his recent trend is good. He had 41.25 fantasy points against the Pacers on Oct. 20, but both teams are in much different places now. Of all the high salary point guards, Lillard is the one most likely to exceed value given his role on the team. ****
