The Premier League is back in action this weekend after some midweek FA Cup replays. It all starts when Brighton host Chelsea in Saturday’s early kickoff. Theo Walcott could make his debut for Everton against West Brom after signing from Arsenal this week.

Then on Sunday, Tottenham travel to Southampton and the weekend is rounded off with Liverpool visiting Swansea on Monday night. Here are five bold predictions for all the action.

1. Brighton beat Chelsea

The first game of the weekend sees Chelsea travel south to face off against Premier League new boys Brighton. The Seagulls have fared well so far this season but they’re by no means safe from the drop.

However, in Chris Hughton they have an experienced manager who can keep them in this division. Getting results against the big sides not only boosts morale but it goes a long way to keeping a side up.

Most teams outside the top six won’t beat Chelsea so any points gained by Brighton are crucial for survival. Considering the Blues had to play 120 minutes in their FA Cup replay against Norwich midweek, Antonio Conte’s men might not be at 100 percent coming into this match.

Brighton are tough to play against and they have a knack for grinding out results in a similar fashion to Burnley, although the Seagulls defense is not as resolute as that of the Clarets.

This game will be won with goals and Brighton could pull off an upset against a tired Chelsea side who have drawn their last five games (in 90 minutes) on the bounce.
