Charles Barkley hilariously calls LeBron James a ‘drama queen’

There is a reason Charles Barkley has remained on television for so long: he’s hilarious.

LeBron James was recently voted in as the East’s captain for the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, but in an interesting twist, Giannis Antetokounmpo received more votes from the players for that position. The fans helped LeBron edge it out, but the crew on TNT dissected why the “Greek Freak” got more love from the guys actually playing in the NBA than James did.

Charles Barkley, in particular, called out LeBron during the telecast. Barkley said he wasn’t surprised Antetokounmpo got more votes “because I think the players like Greek Freak’s personality better. LeBron is a great player and a great guy, but he’s a drama queen.”

You can check out the footage below.

“The Round Mound of Rebound” went on to say that James was “passive aggressive” at times. This is hilarious, and the reason why is that it’s true. There is an old comedy adage that you are kind of allowed to be mean if it’s funny, and you get even more of an allowance if what you are saying is true. LeBron has been passive aggressive with teammates like Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, and he has also done this with opponents like Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant. At some point, you build enough enemies that you can’t expect your peers to vote you into the game.

James will have the last laugh, though, because he gets the first pick in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game right ahead of Curry, and it wouldn’t surprise me if LeBron picked Durant. James has said that he will be making his picks to win the game. That would be the obvious choice, and the NBA should really make this draft public. If they did that, then it wouldn’t surprise me if it got better ratings than the actual NBA Draft.
