Bellator takes the first step towards crowning a heavyweight champion on Saturday night when Rampage Jackson fights Chael Sonnen in the first bout of the grand prix. Getting a jump on the other challengers in the grand prix and being able to recover before the second round.

The co-main event pits welterweight champion Douglas Lima against former UFC title contender Rory MacDonald. This fight has all the makings of a fight of the night contender. MacDonald is looking to follow in Ryan Bader’s footsteps, a fellow UFC defector who claimed the light heavyweight title in 2017 and is also in the heavyweight title grand prix.
