High Salary SG

Tim Hardaway Jr., NY at LAL ($5,900): Hardaway Jr. is way under the average player salary, but he’s the highest salary available in the early slate. He’s also the best play given the match and his scoring ability. He regained his starting spot against the Jazz and posted 39.5 fantasy points. Playing with the starters gives him more opportunity to contribute as he can play alongside Kristaps Porzingis and Enes Kanter. The Lakers are 23rd against the position in their last 15 games. He’s the only reliable guy at shooting guard and has the highest upside of the bunch. *****

Victor Oladipo, IND at SA ($9,200): Oladipo had 38 fantasy points against the Lakers on Friday. The Pacers came out a bit flat in that one, but that wasn’t too surprising given the circumstances. They should look better on Sunday against the Spurs, but this their fifth game on the road and the Spurs are no walk in the park. Oladipo has the highest ceiling of any Pacer and I do expect him to raise his game to the level of the Spurs. ***

D’Angelo Russell, BKN at DET ($6,000): Unless you’re playing multiple lineups and want to take a huge risk, I see no reason to take Russell at this price. He needs 25.3 fantasy points to hit value on Sunday. He had two fantasy points in 14 minutes in his return on Friday against Miami. He’s obviously not 100 percent quite yet and he’s unlikely to play more than 20 minutes. In a week or two, Russell is going to be a low salary steal. But for now, he’s a high salary risk. **
