Watch The Resident series premiere online
The Resident series premiere comes to FOX as TV’s newest medical drama. Here’s how to watch The Resident season 1, episode 1 live, on TV and online.
If you need a doctor after the NFL on Sunday, FOX has one for you. It’s airing The Resident series premiere after football — so we’re telling you how to watch The Resident online and watch The Resident live, so that you don’t miss TV’s next medical drama.
In “Pilot,” audiences meet the title character Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry in a role totally different from playing Cary Agos on The Good Wife), who’s determined to save patients no matter what the cost. Hawkins has an ally in nurse Nicolette Nevin (Emily VanCamp of Revenge and the MCU films), and the two take newbie doc Dr. Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal) under their wing. But big, bad surgery chief Dr. Bell (Bruce Greenwood) is always just around the corner.
For those setting your DVR’s, note that this episode runs long, and is scheduled to end 20 minutes late at 11:20 p.m. ET. So between potential NFL overrun and the extra-long episode, this might be tricky. But we’re giving you all the info to watch The Resident online or live Sunday so that you get the whole first episode.
Here’s how FOX officially describes the episode:
"On his first day as an intern, an idealistic Dr. Devon Pravesh faces the harsh realities of medical care, as third year resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins takes him under his wing and teaches his unconventional ways for treating patients. Meanwhile, Conrad goes head-to-head with Chief of Surgery Dr. Solomon Bell, who uses power and intimidation to cover up his mistakes."
