Tom Brady spent all week dodging questions about his hand and was in no mood to dodge a cameraman on Sunday.
In case you didn’t hear, Tom Brady may or may not have hurt his hand this week. Brady left practice on Wednesday early and skipped the rest of the week after reportedly suffering a hand injury. Because he’s the best quarterback in the game and the Patriots are nothing if not a factory of petty drama, Brady’s hand dominated headlines.
Things got to the point where CBS dedicated a good 10-minutes of live coverage to Brady throwing pregame warmup passes while Tony Romo broke down everything. Cameras couldn’t find the Patriots quarterback all week but he was surrounded by them when he emerged from the New England tunnel on Sunday.
One cameraman got a little too close for Brady’s comfort. To be fair, any distance is too close for Brady but this guy pushed firmly into Brady’s bubble. While running out of the tunnel for pregame warmups, Brady yelled at a CBS cameraman to stay out of his way. Unsurprisingly, he was not polite about it.
Brady is the single most important asset the Patriots have. He had a down year as far as his standards are concerned but he’ll still end up winning the MVP — that’s how good he is. New England has had to avoid plenty of obstacles this season to reach a seventh AFC Championship Game, from injuries to so-called hit pieces about the dysfunction within the franchise. Despite all this, the Patriots are once again in the driver’s seat of the AFC.
Who is a cameraman to try and be an added obstacle and stand in the way?
