NBA Power Rankings: The Clippers keep coming
By Daniel Lewis
The Bulls snapped the Heat’s seven-game win streak with a victory at home, putting up 119 points for their seventeenth win this season. It was Chicago’s third straight win, and they’re beginning to get their offense clicking, especially with Zach LaVine back, albeit in limited minutes. LaVine had 18 points Monday, while Justin Holiday finished with 25 points, and the Bulls continue to light things up from the perimeter, with 48 of their points coming off of 3-point shots. They put up a ton of points against the Warriors, but they scored 112 when they needed 120 to get a win. Kris Dunn had 16 points, but got his last two the hard way, landing on his face after a dunk and chipping out a tooth. The Bulls never trailed against the Hawks, winning 113-97 in a game where they finished in the 50/40/90 club as a team for a complete win.
This is a team that is in a unique position — they’ll likely move Nikola Mirotic before the trade deadline, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they made a win-now move to try to make the playoffs.
