NBA Power Rankings: The Clippers keep coming
By Daniel Lewis
The Bucks only win this week came on the road Monday against the Washington Wizards, with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way with 27 points and 20 rebounds. They won 104-95, with Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe powering an 11-0 run in the fourth quarter that allowed them to win comfortably. The Bucks made half of their 3-point shots in the game, but they only attempted 16 on the evening. It’s a point of concern for the Bucks, who only attempt 24.6 3-point attempts per game, 5th-lowest in the league.
The Bucks weren’t able to beat the Heat for a second time in a one-week span, losing 106-101 at home to Hassan Whiteside and Kelly Olynyk. Khris Middleton had 25 points, while Giannis had 22 points, 10 boards, and six assists, but that was basically it for the Bucks, who looked like they were always looking for someone else to take responsibility and win the game for them.
Middleton picked up his first career triple double Saturday, with 23 points, 14 boards, and 10 dimes, but they lost by 22 to Philadelphia and slid to the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Marshall Plumlee made his debut for the Bucks, which is nice, because the NBA is a better place when Marshall, Miles, and Mason are all on a roster — they don’t contribute much, but family comes first.
Then on Monday, the Bucks announced that they had fired head coach Jason Kidd. Who knows what to expect from them now.
