34. . . Previous: 15th. Portland Trail Blazers. 11. team

Portland had a great week, kicking the party off with a 118-111 victory at home over the Phoenix Suns. It was their first game back at home after a four-game road trip, and Damian Lillard was one of the players glad to be back in a comfortable venue, scoring 31 points while CJ McCollum chipped in 27 points of his own. Portland has won each of their games against Phoenix this season, if you can remember the Trail Blazers blowout win over the Suns in the season opener.

The Trail Blazers continued their recent stretch of solid play at home, knocking off the Pacers on Thursday, 100-86, locking one of the top offenses in the league down in the fourth quarter. When the Trail Blazers play at a high level offensively, and communicate on defense, it’s difficult to beat them at the Moda Center. Lillard didn’t miss a shot until the third quarter against the Mavericks, helping his team to a 117-108 victory at home. The Mavericks continue to be feisty, and Portland had a nice lead throughout the second half but just weren’t able to ever get enough distance to make things certain.
