team. 125. . . Previous: 29th. Atlanta Hawks. 28

The Hawks celebrated Martin Luther King Day with an upset win over the San Antonio Spurs, 102-99. The Hawks had lost five of their last six, but Dennis Schroder made some big plays in the fourth quarter, finishing with 26 points for the game, and they were able to pick up their 11th win on the year. Schroder made a layup with ten seconds left to give Atlanta a three-point lead, and the teams traded free throws before Danny Green missed a 3-point shot with two seconds left and the clock ran out on the Spurs. Dewayne Dedmon had 12 points and 10 rebounds in a revenge game against the team he played for last season, and made two free throws with eight seconds left to help preserve the Hawks lead.

The Hawks made it back-to-back wins with Kent Bazemore knocking down the game-winning shot over Anthony Davis to get the Hawks a 94-93 win. The Hawks held Davis to just eight points, and the Pelicans to 10 points in the third quarter to create that opportunity for Bazemore. The Hawks certainly tried to outshoot the Bulls on Saturday, attempting 48 3-point shots, but were only able to knock down 11 of them in a 113-97 loss. They gave up 46 points in the paint to the Bulls, and the lack of defense in the paint opened things up for Chicago.

If you’re looking to purchase your first Hawks jersey, maybe don’t spring for a Marco Belinelli.
