The Los Angeles Chargers nearly made it to the playoffs in 2017, which is pretty incredible considering they started the year out at 0-4. In fact, only one team in the history of the NFL has started off the year 0-4 and made it to the playoffs, and that was the 1992 San Diego Chargers. First-year head coach Anthony Lynn showed he has the chops to make it as a coach in the NFL, and the Chargers appear to be in good hands with him steering the ship.

One of the major strengths of this Chargers team is the defense, where they have two young star in Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. The offense also has their fair share of talent, as guys like Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen are some of the best players at their positions in the conference. Quarterback Philip Rivers also showed this past season that he can still be a productive player at the position, and now the team needs to spend a draft pick on protecting him.

Connor Williams has been a stud during his time with the Texas Longhorns, clearing the way for 1,000 yard backs every season. He will likely be able to stay on the left side at the next level, as he has the size, and feet to play the most important position on the offensive line. The Chargers have tried to piece together their offensive line for much of Rivers’ career, but investing in the line at this point is the biggest priority this offseason.
