Brooklyn Nets

Send: Joe Harris, Nick Stauskas

Receive: Nick Young, Damian Jones, 2020 second round pick

The Nets find themselves in a peculiar spot, where they’re still waiting for their draft picks to belong to them again, but not quite good enough to be a playoff team. Getting a chance to secure a future draft pick in exchange for two shooting guards is a bit of a steal for Golden State, which makes this deal seem unlikely. But, it’s an option, and one that might have some value for the Nets.

Getting Jones is a gamble on a young big, and Young is a shooter that would come off the books at the end of the season. The Nets could try to see if he’d like to come back for another year or two, or just let him walk and use that cap space on someone else.
