PORTLAND, OR – OCTOBER 26: DeAndre Jordan /

LA Clippers

Send: DeAndre Jordan

Receive: Jabari Parker, John Henson, conditional first round pick

The Clippers have jumped into the Western Conference playoff race, but a recent batch of wins shouldn’t distract them from their long term plans. They would be taking a big risk by signing Jordan to a third contract, and the chance to get assets for him while they can is an opportunity they shouldn’t turn down.

The Bucks owe the Suns their 2018 pick, but with the protections, there is a chance Milwaukee could send it to Los Angeles instead. The Clippers would be entering the competition to sign Jabari Parker to his second contract, which could result in them committing a lot of money to three players with injury concerns in Blake Griffin, Danilo Gallinari and Parker. Henson is a serviceable big, but this move would also mean that Griffin would be playing more minutes at center while Parker and Gallinari get minutes at the forward positions.
