8. Terrell Owens

One of the most deserving players to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame that still isn’t is Terrell Owens. He went down as one of the most productive wide receivers in NFL history and should be in the Hall. In the meantime, Owens can put himself back into the public eye by joining the XFL and likely dominating even though he’ll be close to 50 years old by the time the league starts. Owens keeps himself in ridiculously good shape and honestly could still be a good receiver in the NFL right now. He wouldn’t be as good as he used to be but he could be effective.

Owens would bring a real legitimacy to the new league. He would represent one of the biggest names to ever play under the McMahon banner and have probably the best resume of any player. It’s not like Owens is any stranger to the media either. The only list that rivals is on-field accomplishments is the list of times he’s popped off at the mouth or had some crazy touchdown celebration. From crying at press conferences to sit-ups in the driveway to dancing with cheerleaders, Owens knows what it takes to draw eyeballs. Pairing him with a promoter like Vince McMahon would be extremely fun to watch what happens. Owens could also be the spear head behind any advertising campaign leading into kickoff.
