5 players who belong in the 2018 NBA Dunk Contest

The Slam Dunk Contest during NBA All-Star Weekend is an annual showcase of the top young athletic talent in the league. We’ve got a wish list of five players we want to see in this year’s event.

NBA All-Star Saturday Night is our favorite part of the league’s mid-season celebration. Frankly, we believe if it’s not your favorite as well, there might be something wrong with you.

Sorry to judge, but we have strong opinions and those opinions also happen to be correct.

The Slam Dunk Contest is the crown jewel of the entire weekend. Young stars lobby to be part of the event to make a name for themselves on one of the biggest stages the league has to offer. The NBA tries to balance the event with both rising talents hungry to show and prove, and already-established stars to give the people what they want.

Creating the perfect blend of talent for the event might be more art than science, and we’re not sure the line-up for the event has ever been crafted to absolute perfection. We’re here to take a stab at our dream line-up for the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
