Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr will fight one last time on Feb. 8, live on UFC Fight Pass.

After nearly two decades in the sport of professional boxing, former multi-division champion Roy Jones Jr. is stepping away from the sweet science. And he’s doing so in a place where mixed martial arts fans will be able to enjoy his last contest: UFC Fight Pass.

Jones Jr. is set to face off against Scott Sigmon on Feb. 8 in Florida. The UFC announced the plan on Friday to air this fight through their online subscription service. This fight is set for the cruiserweight division and the vacant WBU title is on the line. This is the first time that a boxing card will be aired on the platform.

“Ya’ll musta forgot I always said that my final fight would be in my hometown of Pensacola,” Jones Jr. said in a release; harkening back to his classic rap song. “I meant it then, and I mean it now. This is where it all began for me, this will be my 75th professional fight, and it will be my last one. I have been friends with Dana White for years and am so excited for UFC Fight Pass to be streaming this event.”

UFC Fight Pass launched across multiple platforms in December of 2013. While it started as a streaming service for the expansive UFC library, the service now carries mixed martial arts from regional organizations, kickboxing events like Glory and grappling events such as the Eddie Bravo Invitational and Polaris.

At 49 years of age, Jones is considered one of the pound-for-pound boxing greats. He will bring a 65-9 professional record into this bout. Known for his flashy style, Jones’ resume includes wins over the likes of Antonio Tarver, James Toney, Danny Garcia, Bernard Hopkins, Jorge Castro and many others. Sigmon has a record of 30-11-1.

“Roy Jones has had a long and distinguished career,” White said in the same release. “We have wanted to work together for a long time and I’m glad that I could bring his final fight to all the fans that have UFC Fight Pass.”

The fight card is expected to begin at 7:30 p.m. EST and Jones will be in the ring by at approximately 10 p.m. EST.
