3. Portland Oregon — Portland Lumberjacks

Portland Oregon is a very underrated sport city. The Portland Trailblazers have not been very successful but still can draw fans. While the Portland Timbers of the MLS are always among the top of the league in attendance and well known as one of the best fan bases. The Oregon Ducks also draw a passionate fan base from that state. There is not a lot of competition in that part of the country for a football team; there are the in-state Oregon Ducks, and Oregon State Beavers but the closest NFL team is the Seattle Seahawks. The XFL could move into Portland and expand football in the Northwest corner of the United States.

The timber industry is big in Midwest which is why the name Lumberjack fits so well. There is a history of Lumberjack in Portland, the National Lacrosse League had a team called the Portland Lumberjacks that folded. It would also be a match within the city because of the  mentioned Portland Timbers. Fans in the Pacific Northwest will embrace a winner, if the Lumberjacks can win right away they will succeed. If we are lucky enough to get a team in Portland we could see a flannel-patterned jerseys, folks.
