High Value SF
Harrison Barnes, DAL at DEN ($6,100): The Mavericks are on a back-to-back, but that doesn’t concern me too much with Barnes, especially at this salary. He’s been over value or within two fantasy points of value in seven of eight back-to-back games this season. He’s averaging 35.8 fantasy points in two games against the Nuggets this season. Barnes has been a reliable option for fantasy owners all year and I see no reason why that doesn’t continue on Saturday. ***
DeMarre Carroll, BKN at MIN ($5,600): After missing value against the Thunder, Carroll was back over value on Friday. He had 33.75 fantasy points against the Bucks. He’s been over value in eight of his last nine. He’s averaging 29 fantasy points in seven back-to-back games this season. This is a tough matchup as the Timberwolves are sixth against the position in their last 15 games. But Carroll has played with great consistency and I don’t like the Timberwolves defense quite as much without Jimmy Butler. ****
Trey Lyles, DEN vs DAL ($5,300): Lyles has been over value in three straight. At this salary, he’s going to continue to be the reliable player that he was throughout December and early January. He’s been hit-and-miss against the Mavericks this season, but Dallas is on a back-to-back and have been a poor road team all season. On paper, this is a tough matchup as the Mavericks are third against the position in their last 15 games. But I like Lyles at this salary and expect him to hit value (23.3 fantasy points). ***
