In the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble, WWE legend Lita shocked the Philadelphia fans and made her return to the ring as the fifth entrant.
The first Women’s Royal Rumble on Sunday night made history in Philadelphia, and it’s only fitting that a legend like Lita would make her return to the ring to enter the match.
Looking for a potential shot at Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s title or Alexa Bliss’s RAW Women’s title at WrestleMania, Lita entered as the fifth wrestler in the first installment of the Women’s Royal Rumble.
Lita wrote the names of some of the key women in WWE’s history who couldn’t make their way into the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match, but that wasn’t the key element to her wardrobe on the night. The WWE legend rocked the #TimesUp movement on her gear, supporting a solid message on the big main event stage.

While she shocked the crowd with her entrance, she might have surprised people even more with her wrestling. For her age and time away from the ring, Lita was all over the place in the match.
Some may have thought ring rust would kick in, but Lita was hitting Twist of Fate’s, DDT’s and even a moonsault onto both Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in her time in the ring. She even eliminated Tamina in the match, before Lynch threw her over the top rope to end the excitement.

This is, without a doubt, a one-time deal for Lita in the ring, much like Torrie Wilson’s appearance a little later on in the match was. Either way, Lita deserved to make an appearance in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble, considering the history she made for women in the business over a decade ago. And, to make it better, she made it worthwhile when she made her way down the ring.
