The 2018 Pro Bowl is under two weeks away and many NFL fans will be interested to tune in to see the star players.

This season, the Pro Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN while also being simulcast on ABC on Sunday, January 28th. The Pro Bowl is an interesting concept for the NFL. It’s one of those things that sound fantastic but sometimes doesn’t work out the right way. The star players are together to play each other but they don’t always take it seriously. That can be a shame since it’s rare to see this amount of star power on the field at the same time but the game can be a lot of fun to watch.

Some players wind up declining their spot due to injuries or lack of interest. If the player has already been to the game, they get a little less likely to participate every time. This season, the Pittsburgh Steelers led the original rosters with eight selections. At least one of those will not be there as linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered a spinal injury. The NFC saw two teams have four representatives each while the Colts, Bears, Browns, Jets, and Packers have no players there this season.

Some fans blow this game off but that can be a little bit of a mistake. NFL players spend so much of their time being serious and thinking of nothing but the next play. To see them be a little loose and out there having fun can be a reminder that they’re just playing a kids game. Sure, they get paid tons of money and it can be harder to relate to players. This is a rare time to see them doing something they love just because they can, even though there is a monetary bonus.
