There’s more than one way to order the Royal Rumble in 2018, but one is a lot cheaper than the other.

The absolute best way to experience the Royal Rumble in 2018 is to be there in person. With the Philadelphia Eagles taking part in the Super Bowl next week, the already enthusiastic Philly fans should be at fever pitch for WWE’s first pay-per-view of the year, especially one as important as the Rumble.

(It’s also quite likely people in the area haven’t forgotten what took place last time the Rumble was in town three years ago.)

Still, not all of us can get to the City of Brotherly Love by Sunday night and shell out for a ticket. That means watching from the second best seat possible, in front of your own flatscreen.

How much does it cost to buy the Royal Rumble? That’s a question that gets you the classic “it depends” response.

Believe it or not, some people still choose to order shows like this the traditional way, by ponying up the dough to their cable provider. Companies like Comcast tout the fact that you can order the Royal Rumble and watch it on any screen in your house, even multiple screens if you want, plus through their streaming app. One advantage is that it is more reliable than streaming through the WWE Network app, which has a tendency to freeze or stutter during big shows.

That reliability comes with a hefty price, though. Most cable carriers are offering the Royal Rumble for $44.99.

In contrast, you can order the WWE Network for a month for just $9.99, something you’ve no doubt heard from talent on Raw or SmackDown many times in the past. On top of that, if you’ve never subscribed to the Network before, you can get a free trial for a month, so if you act quickly, you might even be able to see tonight’s show for free.
