The WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view will take place on Sunday night, and will have a special start time.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view remains one of the WWE’s most anticipated shows of the year — maybe only below WrestleMania. This event sets the stage for the Grandest Stage of Them All, with not one but two Royal Rumble matches taking place. It will send one male superstar and one female superstar to a championship bout at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, LA.

For the Women’s Royal Rumble, this will be a history-making match, as the female superstars never had this opportunity at the PPV of the same name. It features 30 women, with the possibility of legends or those we have not seen in years to enter the fray. Who will appear? More important, which woman will move to a championship match at WrestleMania 34?

The same goes for the men’s match. 30 superstars will enter, including Roman Reigns, John Cena, Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura. Will one of these four get their own title opportunity?

As for the championship matches that are already set, fans will see Brock Lesnar vs. Kane vs. Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship. It’s a battle of three behemoth superstars, which should make for 15-20 of intense, hard-hitting wrestling. Can Lesnar successfully defend his title and advance to WrestleMania 34?

When will all of this take place? Well, given the Royal Rumble is a “Big Four” show, the WWE has a special start time for it: 5:00 p.m. ET for the Kickoff Show and 7:00 p.m. ET for the main show. It could mean fans are in for six hours of programming. Whether it’s too much, too little or just right, fans will get to watch all the WWE programming they can handle, as the Royal Rumble emanates from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
