As we inch closer to the Super Bowl, the best tight end in the NFL is likely to return for the New England Patriots, which is bad news for the Eagles.

During his time in the NFL, Rob Gronkowski has established himself as arguably the best tight end in the game. However, he was injured during the AFC Championship Game, and had to leave the game with a concussion. This week, Gronk returned to practice for the Patriots, and is likely to be ready to go for Super Bowl LII this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Patriots won the Super Bowl without him last year, but having him back makes them that more dangerous on Sunday.

Staying with those Eagles, quarterback Carson Wentz feels he will be ready to go in Week 1 next season. Wentz tore his ACL during a Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Rams, and has had to sit out the team’s Super Bowl run. While Nick Foles has been terrific in relief, he is no Wentz, as the second-year player may be the MVP this season despite missing the final four games of the season with the torn up knee.

The Denver Broncos struggled mightily on offense this season, as they had to roll with three different starting quarterbacks during the year. On defense, the team was solid once again, but they may decide to part ways with one of their stars this offseason. Cornerback Aqib Talib, who has been one of the best at his position during his time with Denver, is on the trading block, and should have plenty of interest this offseason.

When it comes to quarterback entering the 2018 NFL Draft, no name is bigger than Baker Mayfield. The former Oklahoma Sooner won the Heisman Trophy this past season, and showed during the Senior Bowl that he has the talent to be a legitimate signal-caller at the next level. In fact, he could be inching towards the top of the draft board, as it is being reported that he is in play for the Cleveland Browns picking first overall in April.

One player Mayfield gets compared to is Johnny Manziel, the former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback from Texas A&M. While that is just lazy, it is likely due to his fiery attitude, as well as his diminutive stature. While Mayfield is headed to the NFL, Manziel would have been a nice addition to the newly formed XFL, but founder Vince McMahon said Johnny Football would not be allowed in the XFL, as any person with a DUI is forbidden in the league.
