Super Bowl LII is coming up fast and some fans will want the added fun of bingo and squares to add to the entertainment.
This week will mark the real start up of Super Bowl LII hype. Since there is a bye week after the conference championship games, the wait can seemingly drag on forever. The teams will go through media day on Wednesday which will undoubtedly bring a few fun quotes. It wouldn’t be a surprise if one could make a wager on how many questions quarterback Tom Brady has to deflect about his hand injury(hint: take the over).
The actual game is a fun matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots. The Eagles are trying to overcome the loss of MVP candidate Carson Wentz and have done a fabulous job since he tore his ACL. Many wrote them off the day Wentz went down but the Eagles are a deep and talented team. They’re proven a lot of people wrong on their way to the Super Bowl and could do it again this Sunday.
The New England squad will be looking to further etch their name into the history books this upcoming Sunday. With a win, they will tie for the most Super Bowl victories in NFL history and cement their place as the greatest dynasty ever. The big storyline for the Pats is if All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski will be cleared of his concussion this week to play. In the past, that would be an automatic certainty but the NFL is trying to treat concussions with more seriousness.
For those fans who really don’t want to root for either team due to various reasons, there is still plenty of fun to be had this Sunday. It’s one of the biggest gambling days of the year even without having to go through Las Vegas.
