We’re getting close to Super Bowl LII between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. That means it’s time to start thinking about your Super Bowl party food.

There’s nothing quite like Super Bowl Sunday. After months of football, one team will win it all. The Super Bowl isn’t just about watching the two best teams go head to head on the biggest stage, though. It’s about getting together with friends and/or family and throwing a killer party.

Super Bowl parties should be filled with plenty of hilarity and laughs. But most importantly, it should have awesome food. If you’re anything like me, you get just as excited for the food as you do the football. It’s your excuse to really let loose and feast like it’s your last day on earth.

10. Chips and dip

You can’t go wrong with chips and dip. Classic, simple and easy to prepare. There’s really no cooking involved at all. Guacamole is always a party favorite. If anyone says they don’t like guacamole, you’re going to want to eject them from your party immediately.

Other great chip and dip combos include cheese & bacon, onion and spinach artichoke. If your host is rooting for the opposite team in the Super Bowl, be sure to make a point of aggressively double-dipping in front of them to send a message.

9. Little smokies

Little smokies require just a little bit of work. But it’s absolutely worth it. Tiny, bite-size hot dogs covered in barbecue sauce. What’s not to love? Don’t be frugal with the barbecue sauce, either. Really smother those bad boys.

Ideally you want to use toothpicks to eat little smokies, but if you use your hands, you can then get barbecue sauce all over the remote, ensuring you have control over the TV volume the rest of the night.
