The final game of the NFL season will be played on Sunday, and the Patriots will have one of their better players ready to go against the Eagles.

The NFL season is coming to a close, and that means that we will see who is crowned champions during the Super Bowl on Sunday. The New England Patriots are the favorite to beat the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend, and their odds got a little better on Thursday. Star tight end Rob Gronkowski cleared the concussion protocol, and is ready to go for Super Bowl LII, which promises to be a big one.

Last year, the Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC title game, as an injury to Le’Veon Bell really hampered the Steelers offense. While Bell is not signed for the 2018 season, the odds are he will be back with the team, and he made sure that another team’s fan base did not get their hopes up about him making a move. Bell totally trolled a New York Jets fan who said they would give him $60 million cash to play for the team, to which he replied that it would not be enough money for him to “run with the Jets.”

Staying with the Pittsburgh Steelers, it looks like Ryan Shazier continues to make improvements in his quest to return from a serious neck injury. Shazier was released from inpatient treatment on Thursday, and will now head to rehab in an outpatient facility. For Shazier, this is the first couple of steps in a long journey, but he has had an incredible attitude throughout this whole ordeal, and has the heart of a champion.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers missed most of the 2017 NFL season with a broken collarbone, though he did return for a game late in the season. Heading into next season, he will be without his quarterback coach, which is a move he clearly did not agree with. Alex Van Pelt and Rodgers developed a nice relationship during their time together, but Van Pelt leaving will do nothing to limit Rodgers’ production next season.

This week, the Kansas City Chiefs traded Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins, which ended the Kirk Cousins Era with the team. While Cousins should be a coveted free agent this offseason, one star linebacker thinks he would be the perfect fit for his team. Von Miller thinks Cousins is the kind of quarterback who can put them over the top, and with how good this Broncos defense still is, he may not be too far off in his assessment.
