Only four points separate Bournemouth and Stoke in the Premier League table ahead of their game on Saturday at Dean Court. The Cherries are 10th with 28 points, while Stoke are 16th with 24 points, two points above the relegation zone.

Since Boxing Day, Bournemouth have picked up points in six straight games to move from the relegation zone to 10th. In one of the most shocking results of the season, Bournemouth stunning Chelsea, winning 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Callum Wilson scored the first of three second half goals for the Cherries. Wilson leads all Bournemouth players with seven goals this season. At home this season, the Cherries have won four of 12 games, picking up 15 of a possible 36 points.

Stoke and Watford played a scoreless draw on Wednesday, giving the Potters four points in their last two games to move out of the relegation zone. After allowing 50 goals in the first 23 games under Mark Hughes, the Potters made a managerial change. New manager Paul Lambert has come in and helped stabilize the defense, keeping first two games. The next challenge for Lambert will be improving Stoke’s road record. This season, the Potters have won only one game, picking up six points in 12 road games. If Stoke are going to avoid relegation, they need to continue playing better defensively and start picking up points away from bet365 Stadium.
