There are few awards that have already been “decided” given the state of the league. New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady is the favorite for MVP honors. Philadelphia Eagle’s quarterback Carson Wentz was the front runner before getting injured late in the season. Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley made his case with strong performances towards the end of the season.
We could also see the rare instance of a team having the offensive and defensive rookie of the year. The New Orleans Saints may have been eliminated in heartbreaking fashion, but they feature an elite rookie class. Running back Alvin Kamara and defensive back Marshon Lattimore are favorites to win the rookie of the year award on their respective side of the ball.
Coach of the Year will be a heated debate. Los Angeles Rams rookie coach Sean McVay is the leader according to the odds. Doug Pederson of the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars’ Doug Marone are next in line for the award.
