On Saturday, Randy Moss, Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher headlined a star-studded class that was overcome with emotion when they got the call to the Hall.

Making the Hall of Fame is a culmination and a validation of all the hard work it took to be one of the best in your sport. Athletes will tell you the goal is never to wind up in the Hall of Fame, but it’s an honor that is certainly something they want to aspire to. It’s a great motivator, but not the motivator when playing professional sports.

All that hard work, determination and overcoming all the hurdles and obstacles along the way can be an emotional journey and we saw an emotional reaction from several of the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night.

Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Brian Urlacher, Terrell Owens, Brian Dawkins, Jerry Kramer, Robert Brazile and Bobby Beathard are the great eight members of the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. Among that group are some of the most emotional and passionate players to ever play the game. I’m already counting down the days to hear the speeches from these guys. I think Urlacher’s will be the shortest as the former Chicago Bears legend has always been quick to the punch with his words. But the rest of the class should bring out the waterworks and give us all goose bumps as we watch from home.

We did get an early preview of the emotions that are to come in the way of a video that caught the moment the Hall of Fame class got the knock on their door from David Baker. Owens and Dawkins are not in the video, but you have to see the reaction from Lewis and Moss, especially.

Wasn’t that just heart-warming? I could watch this stuff all day long and it’s certainly great to see these giants break down in this moment. The first video only catches a snippet of Moss’ reaction, but the extended reaction is incredible, and it honestly made me get a lump in my throat. I’m just so happy for Moss and judging by the tears, he’s awfully happy too. What a moment.

Not to be outdone was Lewis, and you can see his extended clip to finding out he made the Hall of Fame below.

This is the good stuff. If you ever think NFL players are just robots and not human who have the same emotions that normal people like you and I do, just watch these clips again.
