2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Rosen goes to Broncos
By Brad Weiss
The Green Bay Packers had a pretty frustrating season in 2017, as they looked like a serious contender in the NFC to start the year. However, Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone early in the season, and sat out the majority of the rest of the campaign. Heading into next season, Rodgers is back, but he is a bit ticked off that the team decided to part ways with quarterback coach Alex Van Pelt already this offseason.
When it comes to the Packers offense, they are in pretty good shape, although they could use a little more depth at running back. On the defensive side of the ball, they need an upgrade in the secondary, especially at the cornerback position. One solid addition they could bring in is Denzel Ward, who has proven to be a standout player at the position during his time at Ohio State.
Ward comes from cornerback U, as the Buckeyes have developed some of the best cornerback talent in college football in recent years. The speedy Ward has just as much talent as guys like Marshon Lattimore and Gareon Conley, both of which were picked in the first round in 2017. The Packers are going to be back in playoff contention next season, and with a solid offseason, they could be a Super Bowl contender in 2018.
