48. . Edge. UTSA. Marcus Davenport. 7. player

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were one of the more disappointing teams in the NFL this season, as they never reached their full potential. Coming into the season, many believed that Jameis Winston would lead them to the playoffs, but injuries really derailed his season. The team played inconsistent football throughout, though head coach Dirk Koetter was able to hang onto his job, after being on the hot seat for most of the year.

When it comes to this Buccaneers team, there are a lot of holes to fill next season. The NFC South sent three teams to the playoffs this season, so the Bucs definitely need a big offseason if they hope to stay competitive within the division. On the defensive side of the ball, Tampa Bay could definitely use another pass rusher, and Marcus Davenport from UTSA is one of the better players in this draft class at doing just that.

Davenport played his college ball outside of the Power 5 conferences, so he did not get much publicity. However, he has the kind of talent you can base a pass rush around, and the Buccaneers need to be solid in that department when you play the likes of Drew Brees, Cam Newton, and Matt Ryan twice a season. Davenport can make them instantly better if they select him at No. 7, and with a strong offseason, this team could be a playoff contender in 2018.
