Forget the Super Bowl. It’s all about the pups as Animal Planet presents Puppy Bowl XIV. Here’s what you need to know to watch on TV and online.

There’s nothing more endearing than watching a “stadium” full of puppies as they play their own game of football to determine which team is the best in show. Team Ruff and Team Fluff fight to take home the championship and they lay it all on the line when the game starts.

Here is the official synopsis of Puppy Bowl XIV from Animal Planet:

"“Television’s original adoption extravaganza is back and furrier than ever as the world’s cutest sporting event and will be returning to Animal Planet for PUPPY BOWL XIV February 2018, with two hours of fuzzy faces, sloppy kisses and puppy penalties.”Don’t miss the ultimate “Tail”gating experience with the PUPPY BOWL PRE-GAME SHOW, featuring aww-nalysis and cuddly commentary from sports correspondents including the infamous Rodt Weiler. PUPPY BOWL XIV will kick off at GEICO Stadium.”"

One of the best aspects of the Puppy Bowl franchise is that all of the dogs on the show are available for adoption, and many of the doggy competitors were rescued from the recent 2017 hurricanes. Puppy Bowl 2018 also introduces a new segment dedicated to senior dogs who need homes. While they might not be as energetic as their puppy counterparts, they make up for it in love and affection.

This year’s game takes place in the brand-new GEICO Stadium, a bone shaped venue that is making its debut with Puppy Bowl XIV.

To get you ready for the big game, you can check out the Pre-game Show, Sports Report and Countdown to Puppy Bowl. Puppy Bowl XIV features referee Dan Schachner, who has his own rescue dog entered in the contest this year.
